Strength, confidence, and movement - at your pace.
No pressure. No judgment. No “one-size-fits-all.”
Just progress, one session at a time.
Hi, I’m John-Paul, but most people just call me JP. I’m a NASM-certified personal trainer with a specialization in Adaptive Fitness. I believe fitness should be safe, accessible, and empowering for everybody - no matter where you’re starting from. My focus is to help you feel stronger, more confident, and more capable in your everyday life.
I started working in traditional gyms, but I always felt like something was missing, that deeper connection with the people I trained. That changed when I worked for four years as a Special Education Paraeducator at a middle school. It showed me how much joy and purpose I found in supporting people with unique needs, and it sparked the idea to combine my two passions: fitness and helping others. That’s when I pursued my Adaptive Fitness certification, and I haven’t looked back since.
My passion for inclusion also comes from personal experience. I lost my hearing at just 18 months old, and growing up in mainstream schools gave me a first hand understanding of what it’s like to face unique challenges. It taught me the importance of patience, empathy, and adaptability. Those lessons are at the heart of how I train today.
What excites me most is getting to know you…your story, your goals, your challenges, and your victories. Together, we’ll create a program that fits your life and helps you build strength, independence, and resilience. And we’ll have fun along the way, too.
Because at the end of the day, I truly believe this: fitness is for everyone, and everybody deserves the chance to thrive.

Start Strong Pack
All new clients begin with this 3-session introductory pack. These three-weekend sessions are designed to give us time to understand your movement, build comfort, and set a foundation for progress. We move at a comfortable pace, build awareness, and focus on confidence first. After these three sessions, we’ll talk together about what comes next, whether that’s 1-on-1 or Partner Training.
$200 for all three sessions
1-on-1 Training
Personalized strength and movement coaching adapted to your pace, goals, and comfort level. Outdoors or in your home.
$85 outdoors / $105 in your home
Partner Training
Train with a friend, partner, or family member. Shared accountability, shared encouragement, shared progress.
$120 per session total
When We Train
I currently offer training on weekends only. This allows our sessions to be focused, unhurried, and fully present - without the stress, noise, or rush of a busy gym.
Saturdays: 9:00 AM - 4:00 PM
Sundays: 10:00 AM - 4:00PM
We’ll train either in your home or in quiet outdoor spaces in Escondido and surrounding North County neighborhoods. We’ll choose a location where you can move comfortably and confidently.
As my schedule grows, my goal is to expand availability into weekdays as well.
FAQs
What payment methods do you accept?
I accept debit or credit card, CashApp, Zelle, Apple Pay, and cash. Whatever’s easiest for you works for me..
What is your cancellation policy?
Please give 12 hours’ notice to cancel or reschedule. Late cancellations or no-shows are charged as the session, since that time is reserved just for you.
When do I pay?
Payment is made in person, either at the beginning or end of your session.
Where do outdoor sessions take place?
We’ll choose a quiet, comfortable spot in Escondido or North County where you can move without crowds or pressure. Some go-to areas I like are Kit Carson Park, Hollandia Park, Discovery Lake paths, or local HOA/apartment green spaces if you have access. If you already have a favorite trail or park, we can use that too.
How long is each session?
Sessions are 60 minutes - enough time to build strength and confidence without rushing.
Why is in-home priced higher than outdoors?
In-home sessions include travel and equipment setup time on my end. Outdoor sessions are simpler to set up, so they cost less. Choose whichever environment feels most comfortable for you.
Does training in my backyard or gated-community area count as in-home or outdoor?
If the session happens where you live - even if it’s outside - it counts as in-home training. So your backyard, patio, garage, driveway, courtyard, HOA lawn, or gated-community playground falls under in-home pricing.
Do I need a gym membership?
Nope - we don’t use a gym. I specialize in in-person training in your home or outdoors - whichever feels better for you.
Do I need to own any equipment?
No - I bring everything. If you have gear you prefer to use, we can work that in too.
Do I need to be in shape before starting?
Not at all. You can start exactly where you are. Everything we do is adapted to your current comfort level, ability, and confidence.
Why is Partner Training priced differently from 1-on-1 sessions?
Partner Training is still one full session of coaching - just designed to guide two different bodies, needs, and comfort levels. The total session cost is higher to reflect that added coaching, but the cost per person is lower. It’s a great way to train together and stay accountable.
Why are sessions currently only available on weekends?
Right now, I train clients on Saturdays and Sundays so I can give each session my full focus and energy - without the weekday rush. Weekends also tend to feel more relaxed and less stressful for most people. My goal is to grow this business to a point where I can open up weekday sessions as well. As things expand, I’ll keep everyone updated when weekday availability becomes an option.
